Having lunch everyday in the Wall Street district is a real budget buster. I spent over $100 this week for absolutely HORRIBLE food, even saw a fly in the gravy at one place. I promptly turned around and walked out. Never again. Next week, I'll be more dedicated to my Subway's Giftcard. I'm not bringing my lunch so don't suggest it, been there, didn't do it.

Favorite Motifs
Here are a few favorites that I have found at Motif Investing, I'm beginning to feel like a Motif reporter or stalker.
Wine & Brew
I never thought of investing in a wine company, so I was surprised to see a Motif like this one, it's doing very well.

Hungry for DRIPS
My Monthly Dividend Payout (1 quarterly) at a online brokerage is feeding me in DRIPS. I'm hungry for the free dividend reinvestment plan (DRIPs)!
What is DRIP?
Dividend Reinvestment Plan
A plan offered by a corporation that allows investors to reinvest their cash dividends (for free) by purchasing additional shares or fractional shares of stock.

Sneak Peek: Frugal Freedom Dividends
The pursuit of dividends . . .
There are no false high yields in this Frugal Freedom Dividends motif, the dividends payout monthly and quarterly except one, which pays out yearly at a very very high yield for over 5 years. I'm happy with it.
*****
*****
As usual, my motifs are not for sale, but if it helps someone learn how to invest. I'm satisfied with that.
The Frugal Freedom Fund - 1 week of beating the S&P
FFF - 5.7%
S&P - 4.1%
The Week in Review
This has been an interesting week in the stock market. I came home to another motif that I created (not FFF) and it had gone up to 10% in one day! I celebrated by making brownies. Yahoo shot out of no where to the top,
Rebalancing
I re-balanced my Frugal Freedom Fund (dropped some false high yield stocks). Split it into two motifs, one for stocks and the other for dividends. I created a separate FFF motif just for dividends, because the main objective of the original FFF is to beat the S&P, not collect dividends. The Frugal Freedom Fund is my test tube baby.

Investing for Beginners
Hello Bloggers and Bloggettes!
I had to share this with my blog readers, I'm not promoting, just sharing. Please do your due diligence and research before investing. I found this motif online at Motif Investing for people who are new to investing. Read below:

Investing for Beginners
"This motif of funds is for new beginner investors. It features a diversified group of funds consisting of small-cap growth funds, a total stock market fund, and a real estate investment (REIT) dividend fund all from Vanguard, a trusted investment brokerage."
Sneak Peak
Sneak Peak into my Frugal Freedom Fund at Motif Investing. In 3 days, it's already more than 3 times what the bank offers monthly. The hardest working $275 investment in the world! The little engine that could and would! Nothing against banking, but the proof for investing is in the pudding. See photo of my fund and the return to date below.
I'll be writing more about what's in my motif over the weekend. As you can see Apple (a deliciously profitable company!), Philip Morris (shout out too the smokers! See ya, wouldn't want to be ya!), and Home Depot (love this place!) hold the coveted top spots in my motif.

My Frugal Freedom Fund
I finally created my very own motif at Motif Investing. I didn't open the account in the Creator Royalty Program, which is a program for reselling your motif. If someone bought my motif, I could receive $1.00, however, my motif is not for sale and I am not interested selling it. I am only interested in discussing the stocks that are in the motif. I will be posting about the stocks in the coming days. As I said before, I opened the account for $275 for 30 stocks and the commission was $9.99, what a bargain. I named my motif the Frugal Freedom Fund.
I am invested in 30 companies as of October 20, 2014.
Strategy
The strategy is to beat the S&P 500 and triple my money in 5 years, with long-term investing and re-investing dividends.
The Returns (simulated from past performance)
1 Week Return is 1.9% - (better than the banks monthly interest, beat the S&P)
3 Month Return is 2.00% - (beat the S&P, which was down - 3.8%)
1 Year Return is 19.2% - (not bad, I love anything over 18%, beat the S&P)
5 Year Return is 201.5% - (OUTSTANDING! tripled! beat the S&P!)
Dividend
Dividend Yield is 10.7% - (the added bonus, the constant)
I posted the returns on my motif below. They are quite brilliant if I must say so myself.

Budget Deficit Falls to Lowest of Obama Presidency
WASHINGTON -- The federal government's budget deficit has fallen to $486 billion, the smallest pool of red ink of President Barack Obama's six-year span in office, a new report said Wednesday. The rest of the article can be read HERE.
My First Investment in Motif Investing
The 5 year high for the combined stocks in the motif, averaged out to 177%. So, I'll almost triple my money in 5 years. It's beating the S&P 500, the 5 YR RETURN OF S&P 500 is 94.2%! Better than the banks (no stupid banking fees) and better than the lottery.
I will try to deposit $275 every two weeks or every month, reinvest the dividends, and keep a tally of the growth.
