Every time I post my frugal blog on Facebook, somebody on my Facebook feed always responds, "I'm so glad I have my family instead of money" or something similar.

Well, here are some tips to have your family AND money, at the same damn time.
- Start a trust fund for your children. I started one for my child for $50 a month at a mutual fund company. It really adds up and comes in handy when needed.
- Frugal Friday Dinners - have Friday dinners at home with your family. This saves money, everyone can contribute, and you get to talk to one another.
- Family vacations - go together and share the hotel bill, it saves money
- Share clothing - instead of buying something new, LOOK IN YOUR FAMILY CLOSET, pass it down, it saves money.
- Share the Bills- Live together and share the bills, cable, internet, phone, light and gas, rent/mortgage, it saves money
- Share books - when your finished reading a book, share it with your family, it saves money.
- Support your family businesses - someone in every family is a barber, a beautician, a cook, a manicurist, a grocery store owner etc . . . support their business like it was your own, because it is.
- Start a Family Garden - Rent a $1 Lot (in every city) or buy plot of land and grow some food for your family members to share or use your back yard.
- Buy a cheap house together and fix it up together for everyone in the family to live together.
- Student Loan Payments - make sure that a family members student loans are paid off.
